New: Online Training Courses for Our Zemax Specialist Seminars
Starting in autumn 2026, we are expanding our training portfolio with a new format. Our specialist seminars "Tolerance Analysis" and "Multi-Configurations and Advanced Optimization" will be offered online and in English for the first time.
The online courses take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (CET), allowing participants to join conveniently from anywhere without the need to travel. As always, our optics experts Dr. Volker Türck and Dr. Elisabeth Siebert will provide practical, application-oriented training based on their extensive industry experience with Ansys Zemax OpticStudio®.
Training dates 2026:
- Multi-Configurations and Advanced Optimization: October 14–15, 2026
- Tolerance Analysis: November 24–27, 2026

Thank you for being part of our celebration!
A few weeks ago, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Dr. Türck Engineering together, and we would like to thank all the guests who celebrated this special occasion with us. It was a great pleasure to bring together so many companions, customers, partners and friends of our company in one place.
The many conversations, the reunion with long-time companions and the beautiful atmosphere on the roof terrace made this evening something very special. We were also very happy about the numerous warm congratulations and surprising gifts. Thank you very much for that!
20 years of Dr. Türck Engineering stand for exciting projects, trusting cooperation and many common challenges. We are grateful for the trust placed in us during this time and look forward to continuing to develop innovative solutions together with our customers and partners in the future.

20 years Dr. Türck Engineering
20 years ago, our journey began with the idea of tackling complex technical and scientific issues with curiosity, precision and passion. Today, we look back gratefully on many exciting projects, valuable partnerships and inspiring encounters.
We would like to celebrate this anniversary on June 12 together with people who have accompanied us on this path or find our work exciting.

AI is a tool. Engineering knowledge makes the difference!
Artificial intelligence can do many things today: write texts, generate code, analyze data.What she can't do is really understand a physical system. This is evident every day, especially in the engineering world. Models have to be validated, boundary conditions set correctly and results critically questioned.
And that's exactly where the difference between "somehow works" and "works reliably" arises.
What makes us special in the age of AI?
- Sound understanding of physics
- Many years of experience in simulation and modeling
- an eye for the reality behind the data
Because in the end, it's not about whether a model looks good, but whether it works in practice.

Deep Learning in Action
Last week, our colleague Yvonne Rippers gave a presentation at MathWorks' AI Day Dresden titled "Deep Learning in Action – Annotating Quasi-Periodic Signals with MATLAB". The focus was on a project on robust heartbeat annotation in MechanoCardioGrams, in which classical machine learning approaches and deep learning were combined to robustly annotate complex and pathological signals.
